Chief Minister of Gujarat Vijay Rupani approved the project of 5000 MW capacity solar park which comes up in Dholera. The solar park will be come up in dholera around 80 km from Ahmadabad in special investment region.
This solar park would be the largest world entity after the completion of this project.
The central government targeted to achieve 175 Gigawatt power from renewable energy sources up to 2022.
This state also requested to prepared 200 MW solar wind in the same area.on Tuesday state government gives approval to this project which will become up on 11,000 hectares of land along the Gulf of Khambhat in dholera special investment region.
The chief minister of Gujarat Vijay rupani said: “Initial Studies have shown tremendous potential for generating solar power Gujarat is once again leading the way with the implementation of India’s and probably world’s largest solar park of 5000 MW in DSIR”.
According to the estimate, the construction of this massive park require 25,000 crore investment and generate employment over 2000 people.
Different solar panel manufacturing companies and other business ventures have already started inquiring about opportunities to set up in dholera.
GPCL(Gujarat Power Corporation Ltd), GUVNL(Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd) and central transmission unit already on board for implementing the project.
Industry and mine department said The required land for the proposed park is already with state government and there will be no need for private land acquisition and no any environment clearance issues because this land already has environment clearance.
