Udaipur is Known as a city of lakes and also known as Kashmir of Rajasthan. Udaipur is located in the southern part of Rajasthan near Gujarat border. It is around 655 km Delhi and 800 km from Mumbai. This Lake is constructed in 1687 by Maharana Jai Singh after 200 years lake was washed away during a flood and thereafter built by Maharana Fateh Singh in 1889. It is one of the four lakes of Udaipur city. Within confines of the Fateh Sagar Lake, there are three places to visit Nehru park, houses of a public park, and Udaipur solar observatory. This lake is surrounded by Aravalli hills on three sides using straight gravity stone masonry dam is build from this dam discharge floods flow during monsoon season.
City Palace is located in Udaipur city. It was built over 400 years. its construction started in 1553 by Maharana Udai Singh II. The city palace was build in flamboyant style infusion of Mughal and Rajasthani architecture styles it provides panoramic view surround the city. Within the city palace complex, there is a different structure. Gateways, Amar Vilas, Bada Mahal, Bhim Vilas Durbar Hall, Manak Mahal, Mor Chowk, Rang Bhawan, Sheesh Mahal, Fateh Prakash palace all this structure are built within the city palace complex.
Krishna Vilas is known for album of miniature paintings portraying royal processions. sheesh, Mahal is known for its breathtaking mirror work. Chini chitrashala is known for its Chinese and Dutch ornamental tiles. Bada Mahal is the exotic garden palace that erects on 90 feet.
The monsoon palace is also known as Sajjan Garh palace. This palace is built in 1884 by Maharana Sajjan Singh. This Palace is built with white marble At height of 944m above sea level. The main intention to build this palace is nine-story complex and to keep track of the movement of monsoon clouds in a surrounded area and also to provide employment to people. The palace has many rooms and quarters.
Lake Pichola is situated in Udaipur city of Rajasthan. It is an artificial freshwater lake. This lake is created to meet drinking water and irrigation facility for Udaipur city. This lake is developed over the centuries. The water quality of the lake has high sodium and bicarbonate contents.
