Obama is The Santa for kids in a Hospital
‘With Great power comes great responsibility’ and this statement from a movie is completely true for Barack Obama. The man himself spent some time playing Santa Claus for the kids in the Washington Children’s National Hospital.
He was seen wearing the festival attire white sweater and the red Santa cap. Obama had gifts for the little kids. He surprised them with his visit and the gifts were amazing and stole the heart of kids. The former president greeted patients singing and dancing and handing them the jigsaw puzzles, hot wheels car set, remote control cars, glittery nail paints, and some more goodies.
Before leaving the hospital the humble man thanked the hospital and staff for letting him be the Santa. He recorded a video for those whom he could not visit. He is a thoughtful and kind soul. The message he shared is as follows, “Merry Christmas and happy holidays to the extraordinary kids, families, and staff at Children’s National,” he tweeted. “And thanks for humoring me as your stand-in Santa.” He especially thanked the staff, nurses, and doctors at the hospital who during the festive season are there to take care of the patients.
The hospital shared the news on their official Twitter handle and the video has gone viral as this act of kindness cannot be overlooked and the man has smitten us. The hospital thanked him for being there and posted a message on their Twitter handle “Thank you @BarackObama for making our patients’ day so much brighter. Your surprise warmed our hallways and put smiles on everyone’s faces! Our patients loved your company…and your gifts!”
