Navratri is a nine-day festival celebrated across all over India. Navratri is celebrated to honor the goddess Durga. Navratri celebrated twice in a year. the first time Navratri is celebrated in the month of Chaitra(March) .second time in the month of Ashwin(September).
This festival is of nine days all people placing idol or images of Goddess Durga in Temple or home. At the end of the ninth day, Idol or image of Goddess Durga is immersed in water.
The Navratri 2019 dates are starting from 29th September until 7th October. Celebration of Navratri occurred differently and in a unique way as per the different tradition of different state of India.
In Gujarat, Navratri is celebrated as an event . In this festival, a large number of people’s gathered in the ground to perform rass dandiya on devotional songs. Last day of Navratri is celebrated as Jagran in Gujarat all people dancing and playing rass dandiya all night long on Gujrati songs.
In Maharashtra First day and last day of Navratri is very important. On the first day of Navratri Worship of mother Goddess Durga is organized.10th day of Navratri is celebrated as Vijayadashami.
