KGF (Kolar Gold Field) First Monday Box Office Report
The weekend box collection for the Yah starrer KGF was good and the trend continued even on Monday and beyond.
There was much of buzz for the film and after the release of the first trailer, the buzz continues. It had received immense praise from the masses and classes and immediately got many words of appreciation and views on YouTube.
The movie was backed by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidwani from Excel Productions Ltd, Kolar Gold Fields has been in the making for quite some time and is one of the most expensive films of the Kannada film industry. Kannada actor Yash was the best-suited actor in the film and has portrayed his character in the best possible way. There were good words and praises for the movie and the audience came to view the movie as soon as the movie review was out. The audience positively greeted the movie and it was quite clear with its first day earning of whooping INR 2.1 Crores. Further on Saturday, the collection increased to INR 3 Crores showing a positive trend for the movie at the ticket counter.
Sunday was exceptionally good for the movie as the collection increased to INR 4.10 Crore and thus the total collection comes to be INR 9.2 crores in the first weekend being a dubbed movie. Monday blues was not the word for this movie as the collection for Monday was INR 2.9 Crores and the total collection being INR 12.10 Crores. The movie had a humungous budget of INR 80 crores and in four days the amount collected is about INR 74.20 Crores in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
