Bus with 42 people held hostage for 3 hours by loan recovery agent


On Friday day night in Rajarajeshwarinagar bus with 42 passengers was held hostage for three hours by seven men at a private parking lot to just recover the loan from a travel company. Four of accused have been detained while three are on the run.
On Friday around 10 pm the bus of Bengaluru based lama travels left from kalasipalya and go for Kannur in Kerala. The bus was waylaid by two bikers and asked the bus driver as they wanted to search the bus.
Passengers including 10 women, were driven to a private parking lot. Five other men joined the duo and locked the bus. For the next three hours, the passengers were held hostage until the police came to their rescue.
Police said that all these people are from Fullerton India Credit Company Limited which had lent money to Lama travels. DCP Ravi D Channananavar said that complaint has been registered against this person under the section 341 and 342 of Indian penal code.
we identified that the travel company owner Rafiq to appear before us and give a statement. the person detained was not directly involved in this incident but we looking for three other men who run away.
passenger Nayaz Pasha said that the bus left from Kalasipalya at 10.00 pm and reached Majestic around 10.25 pm where it stops to pick up a few people on mysuru road. when we reached at the RR Nagar Arch two man on the motor bike overtook bus and stopped us.
The man stopped the bus outside the gate of a huge parking area. As they saw policemen, three men fled. We were relieved when the situation is under control the bus passengers said.
