Akshaya Tritiya 2020: Muhurat timings

India is a country of festival. All this festival brings joy and refreshment to people’s life. One such festival is Akshaya Tritiya which is celebrated on the third day of Shukla Paksha in a Baisakh month. This year Akshaya Tritiya celebrated on 26th April 2020 that is today. Akshaya Tritiya also is known as Akha Teej and Akti.

Akshaya Tritiya meaning in Sanskrit is no decay. It is believed that this day brings good fortune and luck in your life on this day most people start a new business, buy new land, Jewelry, gold, new vehicle on invest money in something. It is believed that a new beginning on this day in order to bring luck and a new fortune.

Akshaya Tritiya Significance and history of this festival:

It is believed that Akshaya Tritiya is one of the most important tithi of Hindu Astrology. Sun and moon become equally bright on this day. There are many stories related to this day. On Akshaya, Tritiya kuber was made the lord of riches and bankers of heaven by Lord Shiva.

Another story related to this day is when the Pandavas were in exile in the forest, They were visited by many dignitaries, king, and sage during this type Draupadi found difficulty in prepare food as the Pandavas were destitute and didn’t have a lot to offer.

One day Lord Krishna came to visit all five brothers meet Lord Krishna graciously but Draupadi did not come out of the house to meet lord, Krishna. Instead, she was weeping in the kitchen. Lord Krishna shows an empty pot in which she had cooked some rice in the morning there was nothing but a single grain of rice was left in the pot.

Lord Krishna eats that single grain and blesses with Akshaya Patra a vessel that could give an unending supply of food every day. This day commemorated as Akshaya Tritiya Every year.
